Applications are invited for the above post at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust serving the patients of Lancaster, Kendal, Barrow and the South Lake District. This is a 12 month fixed term contract and you will have the opportunity to become part of an innovative and forward thinking Urology team comprising of 6 Consultants, 2 Associate Specialists, 2 Specialty Doctors, 3 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Cancer Nurse Specialists and several other Junior Doctors. The site will be determined on discussion with the successful applicant.
The focus of the Urology Department and Trust as a whole is to provide personal, patient centred care of the highest possible quality. You will be expected to work at several hospital sites and your job plan may be subject to change depending on the demands on the service. You will need to be adaptable and to be able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a Licence to Practice and must have a minimum of 1 year of Urology experience.
You will require excellent communication skills and will be expected to take an active role in audit, clinical governance and teaching.
