Return to Nursing – Paid Pre Course Experience

Have you been out of practice for over 5 years?
Do you think about the wealth of valuable health care experience you have and putting it into practice again but haven’t had the opportunity and are not sure what area you want to return to?
Whether your interest lies within an acute or community setting, working within a GP practice setting or anywhere in-between, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for!
Returning to practice can seem a little daunting and this programme aims to support you for a period of 3 – 6 months working in a Heath Care Support Worker role ahead of commencing a return to practice programme. This valuable transition period will provide support to enable you to make right decisions regarding your career and re-introduction to studying through completion of the Care Certificate.
We have 5 places available across our Better Care Together health and care partners in North Lancashire and the South Lakes.

Plus you earn while you learn and gain experience back in a healthcare setting, pro rata of £17,460 per annum.
Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
