Ward 5 is a busy environment that cares for a range of emergency and elective patients with a variety of acute surgical conditions.

If you are successful at the shortlisting stage you will be invited to spend the afternoon with us on Friday, 9th February 2018 at Furness General Hospital.

The afternoon will begin with a presentation, after which there will be a drugs calculation test and a 1:1 interview followed by a tour of the hospital site where you will have the opportunity to talk to members of staff.

Ward 37 is a 27 bedded ward and has a specialist interests in respiratory care, providing acute, dynamic and compassionate care to our patients. We have a fantastic team which works closely with the MDT and advocates collaborative working.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated nurse. You will be reliable, flexible, motivated and have a commitment to delivering high quality care to our patients.

The services we provide:

Children’s Inpatient, Day Care, Assessment and Outpatients

Our Children’s inpatient services provide compassionate care for Children and Young People from 0 to 16 years of age across two busy sites, Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Furness General Hospital. The units provide care for a mixture of specialties and for a wide range of conditions including High Dependency Care.

The unit’s encompass inpatient, day care and assessment services for our communities. We also have dedicated Children’s Out-Patient departments on both sites. This ensures a rich variety of experiences and development for our staff.

Emergency Department

To ensure that the Children and Young People within our communities receive the best possible care when visiting our Emergency Departments we are now working in collaboration with our Emergency colleagues to provide Children’s leadership and emergency care with dedicated Children’s nurses 24/7.

Development Opportunities
