We have 2 vacancies within the accredited Sterile Services Department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary for  Sterilisation Technicians working

post 1 Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00

post 2 Tuesday to Saturday 09:00 to 17:00

these post will be weekly rotated.

You will be responsible for the safe transportation of medical devices between the Trusts sites and customers.

This is a DRIVING role so a full clean driving licence is required and able to drive a 3.5 Luton van and or Ford Transit courier 

You will also be responsible for the decontamination and sterilisation of surgical instruments and providing sterile procedure packs and Endoscopy for University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust, the PCT and the community for which it serves.

Experience of working in an accredited Sterile Services unit is preferable. However training will be offered to right candidate.

Anyone newly appointed to the Trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.

The catering department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary is looking to recruit a catering assistant for duties in their busy department.

You will be working for a department that is committed to the ongoing development of their staff.

You should have working knowledge of a busy food environment and ideally hold your Foundation food hygiene certificate, full training, and support will be given on induction.

Main duties will include working in various production areas, pan wash, pot wash, dining and service areas, serving patient meals on wards and maintaining their workplace in a clean and hygienic manner.

13.75 hours per week / 17.00 – 19.45 worked over 7 day rota
