This Post is a 12 month Secondment based at the FGH site.

You will be responsible for the Hotel Services Department extensively Portering, Domestics, Transport and Medical Gases. You will also be required to Manage the above services on the Milliom Hospital

This is a 37.5 hours Monday to Friday post with the option of flexible hours with the agreement of the Divisional Manager Facilities.

This post will include cross bay working and cover on the WGH and RLI sites. The post holder will also be required to Manage the above services on the Milliom Hospital.

The Estates Department is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Joiner/carpenter to assist with day to day reactive maintenance, minor upgrade works, and preventative maintenance schedules.

The Estates Department is responsible for maintaining a safe and suitable environment, within a number of properties, to enable clinical services to deliver the highest level of care.

Reporting to the Estates Building Team Leader, the successful candidate should be capable of working to a high standard and with minimal supervision. As well as being highly proficient in his/her discipline, the successful candidate will be expected to learn new skills to enable a degree of flexible working across trades groups.

As well as practical skill, the successful candidate should possess good communication and organisational qualities – essential when liaising with clinical teams, in patient areas – to ensure that patient safety and infection prevention is not compromised.

Applicants must have a recognised craft apprenticeship, in joinery, to City and Guilds/NVQ level 3 and have relevant post-apprenticeship experience. Experience within a healthcare environment, although not essential, would be advantageous.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.

This post is AfC Band 4, and will include the recently announced 2018 NHS pay increase. (Not yet added to the salary shown).

We have 2 x chef vacancies  to work within in our busy Catering Department both positions will involve working weekends and covering hours between 7am and 6pm.

You should have achieved your Food Preparation and cooking NVQ level 2 or the equivalent, have good communication skills and be able to work under pressure.

You should hold your Food foundation certificate/Basic food hygiene and have knowledge of working within a large industrial kitchen

Within your role you will be required to contribute on going to your own personal development with support from the departmental management team.

The catering department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary is looking to recruit a catering assistant for duties in their busy department.

You will be working for a department that is committed to the ongoing development of their staff.

You should have working knowledge of a busy food environment and ideally hold your Foundation food hygiene certificate, full training, and support will be given on induction.

Main duties will include working in various production areas, pan wash, pot wash, dining and service areas, serving patient meals on wards and maintaining their workplace in a clean and hygienic manner.
