I do like to be beside the seaside...

Morecambe is on the coast– an ideal location, with loads of amenities and surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Read on to discover why Morecambe could be the perfect place for you.

Morecambe Bay is one of the most important wildlife sites in Europe, boasting abundant birdlife and diverse marine habitats.  Enjoy the many pleasures of the seaside at Morecambe, whether it’s flying kites, building sandcastles or enjoying the view across the bay. Cycle, or stroll along the award-winning promenade with an ice cream, before grabbing a picnic and heading down to the beach.

And there’s loads to keep you busy, such as Morecambe’s Super Bowl, and Regent Park Studios. Plus there’s plenty of pubs and restaurants, including a karaoke bar. If cycling’s your thing, Bay Cycle Way is definitely worth the effort.

For the kids

If you’ve got children, education will be a big consideration if you’re thinking about moving. Morecambe is served by a number of primary, secondary and tertiary educational establishments.

Morecambe High School is a specialist mathematics and computing college, while Heysham High School is a specialist sports college.

Just up the road lies Happy Mount Park – a traditional park where family-friendly attractions complement the tranquil atmosphere. Swing boats, mini golf, trampolines, a miniature train, a splash park, and a zip wire will keep the kids amused. Meanwhile, you can enjoy the park’s landscaped surroundings.
